Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin in the village Monastyrshchino has great historical value as a monument to the events of the Battle of Kulikov. On the eve of the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Kulikov (1880), the newspaper "Rus" asked its readers with an appeal to the need to collect donations for the temple, speaking of "historical significance of the church" as a monument to the victory in the Battle of Kulikovo.
