Old Town and Cathedral
   Photo: Old town and Cathedral

Stavanger city located on the banks of the small harbor. On its left bank there is an ancient fortress tower Yalberg, from the top of which offers a magnificent view of the city, the neighborhood and the fjord.

One of the main attractions of Stavanger - Cathedral of St. Trinity. Its construction was started in 1125, after Sigurd the Crusader moved to Stavanger Bishop's residence. The interior of the church is decorated with quaint stone carvings and modern stained-glass windows.

On the right side of the bay is an old city, built two-story white wooden houses of the XIX century, with cobbled streets and pedestrian zones.
