The monument, testifying about the greatness of the city and its residents, delivered as a symbol of wealth and good will of Heaven to Kutna Hora, still amazing for its size .  This is a huge fountain, well, erected on Reyskovoy area - a little away from the city center .  It was built on the money of a man who did much for Kutna Mountains and spared no effort and means to improve it .  Maecenas called Yang Smishek .  The fountain was designed by Mateja Rejsek, who was one of the masters who had a hand in the construction of the Prague Powder Tower .  This was the famous architect and sculptor, who was able to translate into stone fountains all skill .  The walls of the fountain up to 4 meters and were decorated with sculptures of the Czech saints, who up to now have not been preserved .  The water in the fountain was fed from a source that is located 4 km from Reyskovoy area .  For this purpose it has been laid pipes made of wood, which regularly serves up to XIX century .

There is another version of the appearance of a stone fountain. Some historians claim that the fountain serves as a reservoir of drinking water. The fact is that Kutna Hora was a settlement, inhabited by miners who extracted and treated with silver, and this process has always required a large amount of running water. It is not surprising that in the city it was never enough. That is to collect and conserve water, and was created by a fountain. Local residents could come to him and take as much water as they needed.
