Church of St. Barbara (Barbara) in the current version was built in 1885, designed by Victor Piotrowski. The first church on the site was built in 1785. It was conceived as a small country church in the cemetery. Money for construction gave marshalak (Marshal of the Nobility) City paveta (county) Anthony Kosovo.

In 1800 next to the church was built a brick chapel (chapel) of the Holy Cross. Construction was carried out on the money Vitebsk cornet Peter Liozko.

At the end of the XIX century the number of parishioners has increased so much that the small cemetery church could not accommodate everyone. In this connection, it was decided to build a large spacious temple. December 4, 1885 a new brick church in neo-Gothic style was consecrated in honor of St. Barbara and St. Joseph.

The Holy Martyr Barbara Catholics considered the protector from sudden death. Catholics feared sudden death because the person did not have time to prepare for it - to confess and receive Holy Mysteries. This renowned patron of the church and the cemetery location makes it extremely popular among pious people.

In 1935 the church was closed, and came to power without God began to use the majestic church as a store of fertilizer.

As time went on, dilapidated temple. In 1988 he began his recovery. The original intention was to make the government of the church concert hall. In 1993, by popular demand Catholics the church was again consecrated father Janusz Skechekom in the name of St. Barbara (Barbara). Today - this is the current Catholic Church.
