One of the main wonders of Cuba, the pearl of its unique nature can be called the cave Belyamar .  It is located near the town of Matanzas .  Belyamar was opened in 1850, when local herders lost sheep, and in search of the missing animal came upon the entrance to the underground bowels .  However, while the people were superstitious and believed in caves inhabited by evil spirits .  So for 100 years there untouched by human hands .  And only in the second half of the twentieth century, researchers began to study Belyamar .  To open it in all its glory, I picked out more than one ton of water and limestone .  And do not regret the effort, the cave length of 2, 5 km proved to be extremely beautiful and full of surprises .  Its main decoration - stalactites and stalagmites crystalline formations, some of them 40,000 years .  Tourists are offered a route length of three hundred meters, but this is enough to get a lot of impressions .  The crystals on the walls, like the stars, different species are iridescent, karst lakes and streams washed stones bizarre .  Of particular note is the so-called "Columbus cloak" .  This is quite an unusual crystal formation 12 meters high, reminiscent of the folds of the cloak .  His greatness is striking and so-called "Gothic hall" - a vast grotto with amazing rock formations with a length of 80 meters, width - 25 m .
