Alvor, one of the smaller coastal towns in the Algarve, in recent years has turned into a thriving resort town. Not far from the center, along the coast, sandy beaches stretches. Earlier Alvor was a Roman port. Later he took over the Muslims, and the village was renamed the Al-Bur.
