Zoo Pilsen - is not just a place where animals are kept. This is a complex consisting of the actual zoo, aquarium, botanical garden and Dinopark, which shows shape of dinosaurs in full size. To visit the Dinopark tickets purchased separately.

Pilsen Zoo was founded in 1926. Now it contains about 6000 animals that live in the open space and are separated from visitors only large bodies of water. Birds, including predatory not kept in cages. These tabs are attached chains that do not give them to fly, but would help to move along a certain portion reserved for them. Predators such as lions and tigers live on separate islands, so do not pose a threat to the public. This arrangement allows the animals to watch them almost in the wild.

In addition to the open-air cages with animals at the zoo has a farm of XIX century, in which are bred pets. They can meet, pet and even feed.

Adjacent to the zoo botanical garden, which was founded in 1961. Its area is 21 hectares. It forms along with a zoo and the ecosystem consists of the arboretum, rose garden, the rooms where the reptiles brought from different continents, a Japanese garden, greenhouses with cacti and more. The botanical garden is cultivated around 9000 species of plants. Nearly half grown in greenhouses, the rest are able to withstand winter frosts.

Combining the botanical garden and the zoo took place in 1981.
