Holy Trinity Church in the town of Targovishte is situated in the quarter of whitewashed.

Temple began to build back in the years of Ottoman rule, what is connected with an interesting legend .  When the number of homes in the settlement amounted to more than thirty, several residents, including my grandfather were brothers, Chorbadji Stoyoi, Peyo grandfather and grandfather George, took the initiative to build a church .  They appealed to the local Mukhtar (village chief from the Turks) Yusenaa with a request to build a small chapel, but he turned them down .  The Bulgarians did not give up and sent to the district Stoyoi George led Karajan (then the village was under the administrative control of Razgrad) .  The delegation requested the permit to build even a small prayer house .  Karajan reacted with respect to asylum and allowed to establish a chapel .  He wrote a letter to Yusenaa order to provide all possible assistance to Bulgaria in the construction of their temple .  However, residents of the settlement have not appealed to the Turks: a place for the construction of the chapel has allocated from its own holdings grandfather, brother, for the construction of the building posted grandfather Peio .  The temple was named in honor of the Holy Trinity .

A small building could not accommodate all the parishioners, so in 1912 it was decided to raise funds for the construction of a new church. However, the implementation of plans prevented the start of the Balkan wars. Only in 1918 the church was completed, and in 1922 took his consecration.

The building is a cross-dome basilica with a semi-cylindrical type apse and two towers topped with domes. In the construction used stones and red bricks, which makes an interesting alternation of the appearance of the temple is unique.

In the north-eastern region of Bulgaria's Holy Trinity Church is considered one of the most richly decorated with frescoes. Icons for the church wrote the artist Moskovchenko.
