Church of St. George (Juraj) was built in the Roman-Gothic style with semicircular apse. The church is located in the south-western part of the settlement of Tucepi, near the beach and resort area.

The church was built on the foundations of an early Christian church (V-VI cent.). The first mention of the Church in the register of existing parish churches dates back to 1311 year. The image of the church is decorated with the coat of arms of the city.

Not far from the church is the medieval necropolis. It is also a valuable historical monument, as It is considered to be the earliest necropolis on the territory of the Makarska Riviera. It is believed that the burial of the Venetian Doge Peter I, who was killed not far from this place in a sea battle in September 887 years.
