Photo: Market Square
Market - the Old City. This area was once surrounded by wooden buildings. However, a fire in 1777 transformed it appeared colored stone houses with beautiful facades. Once upon a time there lived prosperous Warsaw burghers, who spared no expense in decorating their homes, decorative sculpture and painting.
In the northern part of the square is located the Historical Museum of Warsaw, and on the east side - Museum of Literature. Mickiewicz.
