Tseyskoe glacier, located in North Ossetia in the ski resort Tsey - is one of the largest and low descending glaciers in the Caucasus. Glacier descends to an altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level. The length of the glacier Tseyskoe with firn fields stretches for 9 km, and its total area is - 9, 7 sq.km. The main source of his power - Snow Mountain Adai-Hoch.

At the bottom of glacier sufficiently narrow, and extends at a height to a width of 1 km. Straitened rocks, valley glacier forms countless cracks, and also has several icefalls. Above the surface again ceases smoother.

Tseyskoe glacier is formed from two smaller and two large branches. From an ice arch valley glacier follows a beautiful river Tseya (Tseydon) flowing from west to east through the picturesque deep gorge, covered with pine forest. Ardon River flows into the left side.

Not far from the glacier Tseyskogo located hostel "Ossetia" mountaineering camp hotel "Mountain Girl", a meteorological station and a scientific station NCIMM. By Tseiskii glacier it was laid two cableways.

Located 9 km from the tourist complex glacier welcomes its visitors crystal grotto, which resembles a fairy tale, and then continues along the mighty stone strewn six-kilometer "language", covered with cracks, babbling brooks to the North circus. After the last retreat of the glacier, about the language has grown a lot of young trees.

To the grotto are two paths: "upper" is more complex, it passes through a pine forest on the left bank of the river Tseydon, in some places approaching the vertical, smooth walls of the ridge and leads to a striking beauty and grandeur Tseyskoe Glacier, seen from above, as well as more than a simple "Lower", which is on the bottom of the gorge, crossing the sonorous streams and rivers.
