Municipal Ethnographic Museum - one of the most exciting and popular attractions of the Greek city of Ioannina (capital of Epirus). Since 1933, home to the Ethnographic Museum of Ioannina became Aslan Pasha Mosque (known as well as the Ali Pasha's Mosque), located in the historical center in the Old Castle (Fortress) Ioannina. The castle itself, or rather, in those days it was a well-fortified fortress town, built in the early 6th century by Emperor Justinian. Aslan Pasha Mosque was built as early as 1618 during the reign of these parts of the Ottoman Empire and today is an important historical monument. In 1993 it was held the global reconstruction of the building of the mosque.

Collection Municipal Ethnographic Museum Ioannina tells the story of the region's culture and way of life and traditions of the locals (Greeks, Turks, and Jews). Today in the museum you can see a variety of ceramics, paintings, traditional décor items, jewelry, textiles, costumes, weapons, handmade, carved furniture and personal items that belonged to famous historical figures. Also in the museum are stored photos and pictures illustrating the liberation of the city and other historical events. Within the walls of the City of ethnographic museum regularly hosts temporary exhibitions, including on historical themes.

In addition to the Old Castle Ethnographic Museum is an excellent visit the Byzantine Museum and no less interesting museum Fotis Rapakusisa.
