Michael the Archangel Church - an architectural masterpiece located in the southern part of the town Svaliava, in the neighborhood quickly. This ancient, original construction does not cease to bewitch its perfect form and perfect proportions, even though such a venerable age.

Temple Lemko style was built back in 1588 on the hill above the present and consecrated in the name of Archangel Michael. At its present location, the church was moved in 1630 at the request of local residents. Temple partially rebuilt in 1759, giving it the appearance of which can be seen today. You can consider this the year of the revival of the church. After adjustment hipped ceiling of the nave and the altar novovozvedennogo log received arches. The high tower has a baroque completion, forms a sharp increase from a low altar to the tower and an open gallery around Babintsy with carved columns indicate Lemko origin. The temple was built of oak wood, and laid the foundation stone on a clay solution.

The interior of the church was too modernized, but well-preserved iconostasis of the second half of the eighteenth century. Luxury openwork carving distinguished royal doors with painted and gilded elements.

Since the late 40s. Twentieth century. Church of Archangel Michael was closed. Services resumed it since the early 90s. In 2001, on the feast of the Holy Eucharist at the site, which originally stood St. Michael's church was consecrated and installed a large cross. Unfortunately, the same has been disassembled single-tier wooden belfry, the church successfully complement the ensemble. Nearby is an old cemetery with nice metal and stone crosses.
