Georgian opera and ballet theater, located in the city of Tbilisi, is the largest musical theater in the country. City Theatre was founded in 1851 Governor Mikhail Vorontsov. Moreover, its construction began in April of 1847 the author of this project was made by the famous architect Antonio Skudieri. Over the years, the theater has produced many well-known figures of culture and art, including Ivan Paliashvili, whose name has been named a theater in 1937. It was here that started his career in the future founders of Folk Dance Ensemble of Georgia - N. Ramishvili and I. Sukhishvili.
