Church of Sant Esteve - this is one of the main historical attractions of Andorra la Vella. The temple is located in the historic center of the city, among the ancient granite houses of traditional architecture, near the building of the administration of the commune.

Church of Sant Esteve in the Romanesque style was built in the XII century. and consecrated in honor of St. Stephen. The church building and its interior was repeatedly rebuilt and altered. A major architectural changes the temple has undergone in the twentieth century., Lost its original appearance. From the original construction remained intact only the semicircular apse of the Romanesque, wall painting, which is now kept in the National Art Museum of Catalonia and in several private collections. Near the church of Sant Esteve is a monument to Bishop Juan Benlochu. Juan Benloch, occupying the post of bishop of Urgell La Seu from 1906 to 1919, he was co-Prince of the Principality.
