Vysotsky Monastery was founded in 1374 by St. Sergius of Radonezh and Prince Vladimir the Bold. In 1571, the Crimean Tatars burned the monastery, but the monastery was restored by donations from the Naryshkin family. This mother often came to Peter I - Queen Natalia Naryshkin. Vysotsky monastery experienced a certain decline in the XVIII century., But to the XIX century. it flourished and fame. In the 1920s. the monastery was closed. Part of the wall were destroyed and All Saints church.

In the center of the monastery is the Conception Cathedral, built on high ground and surrounded by arcades bunk. the north side of Conception Cathedral, at the end of the gallery is a small pridelnyh Nativity of the Virgin. This temple is not known when and by whom arranged, already existed at the end of the XVI century.

Near the cathedral is the former refectory with the Church of the Intercession, to which in the XIX century was built the temple of the Virgin of Praise. Here is one of the relics of the monastery - the icon of Our Lady "The Inexhaustible Cup", attracting hundreds of pilgrims from Russia and other countries of the world.

Modern three-tiered bell tower of the monastery was built around 1840 to replace the old one, which has come into disrepair and collapsed. Soon after its second tier of the temple was constructed in the name of the Three Great Hierarchs and Ecumenical Teachers Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom. He was consecrated in 1843, the holy Metropolitan of Moscow Filaret (Drozdov). Trehsvyatitelsky Temple was the first temple, which began daily service in 1991 in the newly opened monastery.
