Agnondas - a small resort town on the south coast of one of the greenest of the Greek islands - Skopelos. It is located in a picturesque cozy bay at about 7-8 km from the capital of the island of the same name and has its own port.

According to local legend, its name was in honor of the port native of Skopelos - Agnondasa, who in 569 BC Olympic champion. The ship, which triumphantly returned to their homeland champion, sailed into the harbor of modern Agnondasa in this connection, then, this place got its name.

Over the past decade from a small fishing village Agnondas turned in a very popular resort with a well-developed tourist infrastructure. Today Agnondas - a charming, immersed in the greenery of white houses with red tile roofs, the scenic waterfront from rocking on the waves of boats and fishing boats, and of course, plenty of cozy restaurants, taverns and cafes where you can relax and enjoy traditional local cuisine. Great Agnondasa pebble beach considered to be one of the best on the island.

The stunning beauty of landscapes Agnondasa and its surroundings are ideal for lovers of long walks. You can also rent a boat or a boat and take a fascinating boat trip along the coast of Skopelos.

Today Agnondas is an alternative harbor for ferries and passenger ships (in the case of the closure of the main port of the island of Skopelos in the city due to bad weather conditions). Agnondas is also an important transport hub of the island and has a shuttle service to almost all localities of Skopelos.
