Krasnodar Philharmonic Society, located in the city center at the intersection of two streets of Gogol and Red - this is one of the largest in the south of concert organization, which has a wealth of creative potential. The main function of the Philharmonic is the organization and carrying out of concerts. Philharmonic Hall is located in a beautiful three-story building, erected in 1909 on the project FO Shechtel.

Resolution on the basis of the Krasnodar Regional Philharmonic was published in 1939. In the same year, the newspaper "Bolshevik" there was an announcement about the opening of the concert season. During World War II because of the occupation of the city Philharmonic ceased operations. That changed in October 1943 when the concert organization work again. In 1944 in the pop Philharmonic included nine teams, theater Attraction, song and dance, theater, music hall. At the end of the 60-70-ies. at Krasnodar Philharmonic has been restored Kuban Cossack Chorus, and created a huge number of pop bands that became famous throughout Russia.

To date, the Philharmonic created and successfully operate six creative teams. They continue to adhere to the best traditions of the Russian Philharmonic case. Teams take the leading positions in the musical culture of the south of the country, their performances are held with great success and are very popular. Each team consists of folk and honored artists of Russia, Kuban, and the winners of national and international competitions.

In 1997 the Philharmonic concert hall was named after the composer, People's Artist of the USSR GF Ponomarenko. Each year, one season Philharmonic holds more than 1,200 concerts. For many years, groups have successfully toured not only in the Russian regions, but also to foreign countries - Poland, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Norway, Greece, Finland and the UK.
