Orthodox Church Museum Kuopio - one of the most important church museums in Western Europe. He reports to the Finnish Orthodox Church rule and has the status of the state. The museum was founded in 1957, the building was built in 1969. The museum - icons, liturgical vestments, church utensils brought from the Valaam monastery and Konevetskogo. Most of the museum's collection belongs to the XVIII-XIX centuries, and the oldest thing - to the Middle Ages. Many of the exhibits were in the museum during the Second World War.
