One of the most beautiful creations of Indian masters - Hawa Mahal, the "Palace of the Winds", located on a street in the wonderful city of Jaipur. The main "designer" was the architect Ustad Lal Chand, the idea of which was to build a palace in the form of the crown of the Hindu God Krishna. Its five-storey front part resembles a beehive honeycomb - it has 953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with elegant bars work fine. These lattice meant to the great ladies of the harem of the ruler could freely observe everyday street life, without fear of being seen by outsiders. This was due to the fact that they had to observe "purdah" - a strict rule that the woman was supposed to hide her face.

"Palace of Winds" is part of the City Palace Complex and is located in the heart of Jaipur, one of the busiest business areas of the city. Hawa Mahal is adjacent to the Zenana - the female part of the complex, which houses the harem. The palace was designed at the request of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Clan Kachvaha, the governor of Rajasthan. But its construction was completed only during the reign of Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. In the summer, the palace became a favorite vacation spot of Rajah extended family, because it has always been cool.

Hawa Mahal was built of red and pink sandstone, which gives it an amazing view when it get sunlight. This five-story, pyramid-like building that towers over an area of 15 meters. It has an infinite number of rooms, each of which is "fitted" to their small balcony decorated with a small dome.
