Close to the National Museum of the majestic building of the State Opera - one of the most important theaters in Prague, whose repertoire is famous not only classical performances, but also contemporary performances. Apart from opera, it is placed on the local scene as a ballet.

Opera House was built in neo-rococo style and, since the construction has not changed. Its construction was initiated by the German-speaking inhabitants of Prague in 1883. The future theater was to be called New German. The project made famous Viennese architect.
