Mozhajskij historical museum is a branch of the State Borodino Military History Museum. In 1905, when the local country council organized a museum of visual aids to help students. With the assistance of the Countess PS Uvarova he gradually turned into Local History. In 1985 in Mozhaisk it opened House Museum of Folk Artist of the USSR SV Gerasimov, who in 1990 became a branch of the State Borodino military historical museum-reserve and entered the structure Mozhaiskogo History Museum. Funds of the museum include collections of historical and everyday objects, archaeological finds, documents and photos of the collection, paintings and drawings Mozhaiskiye artists SV Gerasimov and his students.
