Significant historical and architectural monument of Miskolc - the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity and a museum at thereof can be found in the city center. The church belongs to the Hungarian Orthodox diocese. Holy Trinity Church was built in 1785 - 1806 years of Greek colonists. The architectural style of the church - tsopf quite rare for the time, the interior corresponds to the same style. The church is famous, above all, its largest in Europe iconostasis height of 16 meters with 87 scenes from the life of Christ. Baroque iconostasis was carved in the workshop of Nicholas Jankovic of Eger, pictures (except for the four of them) were written by Anton Kuhelmaysterom from Vienna. A copy of the Akhtyrka Icon of Our Lady - a gift from the Empress Catherine II.
Near the Church of the Holy Trinity is the Hungarian Orthodox Church Museum, which houses the country's richest collection of Orthodox religious art. The museum is housed in a Greek school, built in 1805, and opened its doors to visitors in 1988.
