The Memorial Museum of Industry and Technology Toyota was opened in 1989 in the building where at the beginning of the XX century spinning mill Sakichi Toyoda. Part of the museum is dedicated to the textile industry as the Corporation Toyota Motor, a member of the Toyota Group, began with a small family business to produce looms. The first of these Sakichi Toyoda did in 1890. First he founded a mini manufacture with five ruined machines, Sakichi and returned to his village, where he married and had a son Kiichiro, who in 30 years has created and began to develop the direction of the car of the family business, fulfilling the will of the deceased father. Kiichiro Toyoda is the founder of the corporation Toyota Motor Corporation.

Sakichi Toyoda, being self-taught, became the owner of 84 patents and author of 35 designs spinning and weaving machinery, for his invention was awarded two medals of the Imperial Academy.

Textile manufacture was the Toyoda family business rescue from collapse in the postwar 50s. Although the manufacturing business has long been considered a side branch, "testing ground" for the tests invented machines. The fact is that during the war the company produced mainly trucks for the army. In the postwar period cars Toyota is not in demand.

In the foyer of the museum established one of Sakichi Toyoda inventions - Automatic Circular loom in 1906 for the production of seamless cloth. A series of machines Type G are in the museum at the same places where they were established almost a century ago.

The museum exhibition gives an idea about how to develop the automobile industry in Japan. Here are including the early development of Toyota Motor - the first car, the first production model, which now can be called a rarity. You can get acquainted with the stages of the process of creating a vehicle: manufacturing operations demonstrate mannequins. Also from the museum tour you can find a detailed history of the Japanese auto giant and its business philosophy, which led to economic success.
