Granite frame (or it is also called a rock-Register) - a granite rock, located on the banks of the Dnieper in Kremenchug, near the central promenade. This rock is a geological monument of nature and old geodesic mark. Until the mid-20th century was used as a reference point, that is a sign of fixing point of the earth surface.

Scala is a stone rock gray biotite-plagioclase medium-grained igneous rocks, which are crystalline rocks Ukrainian crystalline shield, their age of about 2, 5-3 billion years. The rock is at a height of 5-6 meters above the river. It displays the mark that shows the highest level of water at all times of flooding on the Dnieper River, from the 18th century. The floods took place respectively in 1789, then 1820, 1845, 1877, and later in 1888, 1895, 1915, and the last mark in 1942. The altitude at the bottom of the cliff 69 meters. This "rock-register" quite often mentioned in various publications before the revolution. And in December 1970 the granite frame became a natural monument of local importance, thanks to the decision of the executive committee of the Poltava Regional Council under the number 555. The total area of ​​the monument to 0, 05 hectares, or 200 square meters.

The first metal plate near the cliffs information was established in the 80s of the 20th century (about 1983-1985), but by the end of the 90s it was stolen. Next plaque was installed in 2000 and is made of stone gabbro.

About 3-4 billion years ago, these blocks were a hot, boiling and seething mass, and now you can enjoy these stones veteran right from the waterfront.
