Rijeka City Tower - the best place to start exploring the city center. It is located in the middle of a small, very beautiful pedestrian streets Korzo.

This tower was built in the 13th century. It was built as part of the city gates, which led to the port. To the left of the tower remained a small part of the gate. From the very same ramparts that once surrounded the city, unfortunately, almost nothing left.

The sculptor, who was involved in the reconstruction, Antonio Mikelatstsi, tower adorned with portraits of the emperors. Later, it has been replaced by a clock that still works today. In 1801, the architect Antonio Gnambova added to the structure of the dome.
