In the area of ​​Greece, in the downtown which is the Church of St. Luke's, which is one of the most famous attractions of this place.

Prince Katsefarangi Mawr in 1195 built this church, and until 1657 she was a Catholic. During the war between the Ottoman Empire and the Venetian Republic many Orthodox believers took refuge in Kotor, the city administration has allowed the refugees to carry out in the Church of Orthodox worship and ceremonies. It was at this time there appeared two altars: the Orthodox and Catholic. This went on for about 150 years until it began when the French occupation.

Today the church of St.. Luke Orthodox. The main value of the church can be considered relics of St. Luke the Apostle and the holy martyrs of Orestes, and Mardary Auxentius. Yet there remain some fragments of frescoes of the early 17th century, and in the adjacent chapel - not only unique iconostasis, which depicts Jesus Christ as King, but also some frescoes of Italian and Cretan painters of the early 18th century. Up until the first third of the 20th century Church of St. Luke's burial took place whose inhabitants, so the whole floor of the church is composed of these gravestones.

Today the temple is only open on holidays and during the tourist season, and at other times it is closed. An interesting fact is that in 1979, during an earthquake, the church of St. Luke remained the only building that was not damaged.
