The Austrian city of Eisenstadt famous because of it, in the period from 1766 to 1778 years, lived the great composer Joseph Haydn. Today, the walls of the house occupied by them at the time, is a museum dedicated to the work of the musician.
The two-story building was erected in the first half of the XVIII century, its facade decorated flat moldings, is decorated with four small windows. The aim of the museum is to show the composer's life as an ordinary person of his age. The staff tried to design the interior as he looked at the life of Haydn. Most of the furniture, if you do not belong to Joseph Haydn in person, were made during that period of history. The most valuable exhibits are once belonged to the musician piano and organ table from the nearby church - bergkirchen.
Together with Haydn bought the house and garden, which he and his wife Anna Eloise grew flowers and spices. According to contemporaries, Haydn liked to relax in your garden from the hard work, and in the garden gazebo born some of his works. In 1778, the composer sold the land, but in 2002 the garden was restored and today is included in the list of exhibits the museum Haydn.
The most welcome visitors to the museum are, of course, children. Children's group meets the great composer himself in a wig and period costume and more hours of talks about her life with the help of leading questions helping to compare past and present. Children during the excursion sing and play music, but in the end he carved a beautiful flower, which they are allowed to take home as a souvenir, reminding about this interesting excursion into the past.
