Baguio Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Atonement - a Catholic church, located on the Ring of the Cathedral just off Highway seshn Road. The cathedral is known for its pale pink facade and twin spiers of traditional stained glass windows, which makes it one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city of Baguio. During the Japanese occupation of the city during World War II he served as an evacuation center Cathedral.

The place where today stands the cathedral, the people of the tribe ibaloi called "campo". In 1907, Belgian missionaries founded a Catholic mission and renamed the area in the Mount Mary. Construction of the cathedral began in 1920 under the leadership of the parish priest's brother Charles Florimond. In 1936 the cathedral was completed in the same year was consecrated in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary Redemption.

During the Second World War in the cathedral housed the evacuation center. Miraculously, the church building had survived during the "carpet" bombing of Baguio in 1945. The remains of thousands of victims of the war were buried in the territory of the cathedral.

A distinctive feature of the Cathedral Baguio are its pink facade with round windows, rosettes and square twin bell towers with hipped roofs. On the territory of the vast courtyard there is an observation deck, which overlooks the highway seshn-road and business center of the city. You can get inside the cathedral, up the stone steps with a hundred steps.

In 2006, in the Cathedral restoration works were carried out, during which the front of the church was built a new area, and inside - a new altar for those who want to light a candle.

Interestingly, Baguio Cathedral is perhaps the only temple in the world, which has its own shop "Porta Vaga".
