Gyurtsenih is one of the most famous halls of the city of Cologne, where at regular intervals carry out organ concerts. The building was built in the XV century and got its name from its owners - a noble family Gyurtsenih. This house became a popular public building in the Middle Ages.

Gyurtsenih was made of rough stone dark framing of the roof is more like a fortress wall, complete with battlements. In the corners of the house are small towers.

Initially, the house became a place where it is constantly held various entertainment events, as well as serious political and diplomatic conferences and meetings. Fundamental changes expected Gyurtsenih in 1857, during this period it was rebuilt. From it made a big and beautiful room for concerts, but the name remains the same. If at the beginning of its existence Gyurtsenih could admire the splendor of its decoration, after the 1943 bombing of accompanying him was gone. During the war years, the building was completely destroyed and, unfortunately, it did not manage to fully restore. For this reason, it is difficult to find in Gyurtsenihe Gothic public buildings of the Middle Ages. Currently, the building looks very unusual, which contributed to a small additional extension, made of glass and metal.
