The chapel stood on the bank of the Oka, in the place where there was a miraculous appearance of the icon of St. Nicholas. Image chapels are found even in the sketches of the poet Vasily Zhukovsky. In the 69th year of XIX century, the chapel was rebuilt into a small temple, which has reached the present time. Nicholas Temple Chasovenskaya worked until 1935. After it closed, and before the start of World War II the building was not used in any way.
