Magic Fountain - is a product of the Catalan engineer Carles Buigasa that before the creation of this masterpiece has already spoken author of a series of fountains of light, created by him in 1922. Magic Fountain of Montjuic is located on the hill below the State Palace, next to the Plaza of Spain. Construction of the fountain was dedicated to the implementation of the International Exhibition in Barcelona in 1929.

Almost a year before the exhibition K. Buigas submitted to the Executive Committee with its unexpected and daring project to 460 pages, which was developed by the idea of ​​decorating the main avenue of the exhibition beautifully illuminated waterfalls and fountains, designed to transmit a wonderful play of light and water.

The implementation of this project involved more than three thousand workers, and less than a year, they managed to create a truly amazing spectacle - the incredible beauty of the ensemble, the magic of light and water in the whirlpool of fascinating magic to the sound of music.

This stunning ensemble was complemented by waterfalls and fountains, located along the avenue Maria Cristina, but the center of it is the "singing fountain", towering on a special podium at the end of the avenue on the background of the National Palace.
