Literary Museum of P. Oiunsky Yakutsk - one of the cultural attractions of the city. The museum was opened in April 1970, the museum is named after the famous scientist, statesman and public figure and founder of Soviet literature Yakutia PA Oiunsky. Initially, the museum was located in the house of P. Oiunsky, where he lived with his family from 1935 to 1938, however, in 1980 for the museum was built a new stone building.

The Literary Museum of P. Oiunsky exposition which shows the history of the Yakut literature. Today the museum exposition includes such sections as: "Creating a mass of writing", "The origins of written literature in Yakutia", "The founders of Yakut literature", "Modern Yakut literature", "Literature and Art Authority Union Yakut writers" and "Friendship Literature - the friendship of peoples. "

The atmosphere of the museum is made in the style of 30-ies. Twentieth century. Museum exhibits tell the history and development of the Yakut literature, from its beginnings to the present day, and the creation of media literacy and the origin of the Yakuts. One section of the permanent exhibition of the museum is dedicated to the literary repressed Yakut writers. This section presents the copies of photos from the personal and investigating cases, copies of the documents, a list of repressed writers Yakut (28 people). In addition, the exhibition are personal stands, which are devoted to writers P. Oiunsky, V. Nikiforov, A. Sofronov and others.
