Holy Trinity Monastery Zelenetskii originated in the mid 16th century and is located between Tikhvin and Staraya Ladoga, in the village of Zieleniec (Volkhovsky District), on the banks of the river Rassokha on marshy elevated location, which covers the bright summer a green vegetation.
