Raimund Theater - Theater in Vienna's Mariahilf, built by Franz Roth. The theater opened its doors to the public November 28, 1893. The name of the theater was named after the famous Austrian playwright Ferdinand Raimund. Its repertoire consisted of German folk dramas and plays.

In 1908 the theater premiere of Johann Strauss operetta "The Gypsy Baron". Other high-profile premieres include Robert Stolz "Happy Girl", which was held in October 1910, as well as others.

During World War II, the theater was not injured, so re-opened to the public in April 1945. 3 years later, in 1948, to the post of director of the theater came Rudolf Marik, remaining in that post for nearly 30 years. Rudolf Marica made a great contribution to the development of theater, creating performances involving stars like Johannes Histers, Marika Rokk, and many others. This theater has become a launching pad for many young actors, including Hansi Niese, Laula fun, Karl Skraup.

After 1976, the theater was sometimes put musicals such as Kurt Weill "Lady in the Dark." In the autumn of 1997 the world premiere of "Tanz der Vampire". In September 2006 came the musical "Rebecca" by Michael Kunze and Sylvester left.
