Church of Santa Prisca by far one of the most striking sights - a sample of Mexican baroque mid-eighteenth century. It is located in the protected town of Taxco, Guerrero, in the central square. Its construction on the main town square was begun in 1751 and completed seven years later. Initially, the church was built as a place of service of the priest Manuel de la Borda. Construction was led by two architects - the French and the Spanish Diego Duran Cayetano.

The temple, built of pink stone, has two graceful, richly decorated tower, no less magnificent facade, which looks to the west. The temple has nine wooden altars covered with gold leaf. Here is the altar of the Immaculate Conception, the altar of the Virgin of Guadalupe and Our Lady of the Rosary. Inside, the walls are decorated with magnificent paintings.

Santa Prisca in the history of Mexico is a symbol of the era and the dawn of enrichment, which is directly linked with the beginning of silver mining in the mountains in the area of Taxco. The church was built on the money of silver tycoon José de la Borda. The rich interior and the complex architecture required a lot of money, and after seven years, one of the richest people of New Spain became bankrupt.

Near the church is full of shops where they sell silver products.
