Curonian Spit - a unique phenomenon of nature, enjoy the views of the tourists who come from all over the world. It is a peninsula of 98 km long and 4 km wide. Spit stretches from Zelenogradsk to the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda's. On the Lithuanian part of the spit with pine forests and dunes of the village there are four: Preila, Nida, Juodkrantė and Pervalka, which were later merged into the city of Neringa.

The most important event in the historical development of Neringa had 2 December 2000, when the Curonian Spit hit the UNESCO World Heritage List as a unique object not only natural but also the cultural heritage of the Baltic Sea. Spit beaches are among the best on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Sea, volatile, sandy beaches provide a great therapeutic and healing effect. On the territory of Lithuania is the National Park "Curonian Spit" (lit. Kuršių nerijos nacionalinis parkas), which was founded in 1991. During the 10-11 centuries in this territory lived Viking settlement, located near the modern village of fishing. Traces of the Vikings were discovered by archaeologists from Germany in 1893, but only as a result of the work of archaeologists from Kaliningrad 2008, it was found that the Vikings had permanent settlements on the spit.

The Lithuanian national park "Curonian Spit" is the Museum of Nature, working with September 1988. Currently, the park has a bicycle path length of about 20 km that connects Preila, Pervalka and Nida to the seaside.

Curonian Spit National Park - is an amazing corner of the planet. At this point, you can immediately see the grasslands and sandy deserts, covered with lichen and moss, pine forests and wet alder, tall pines and dwarf mountain pine bushes. Striking combination of southern taiga and deciduous forests, sand hills and flat fields. In the forests of the national park can be seen growing in a lot of mushrooms, a lot of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blueberries. On the branches of plants, you can see the protein that will be only too happy to get food from passing tourists. On the forest paths you can meet a moose, deer or wild boar.
