Knights loannites all built hospitals where they receive medical care not only the knights, but also the poor, homeless people, regardless of their religion. In a building constructed in the 70s of the XVI century, it is the longest in the world's hospital room - 161 meters in length. Later, it housed the stables.

In 1979 the building was restored. It opened a conference room and an attraction "Malta" - a multimedia presentation on the history of Malta from the Neolithic to the present day.
