Church of Our Lady of Czestochowa is one of the oldest temples in Zielona Gora. Previously, it was called the Church of Christ and the Garden for a long time belonged to the Protestants. The first stone of this church was laid in September 1745. The funds allocated for the construction of the church of city Mayor VB Kaufmann. Construction continued until the end of 1748.

Typical Church of Our Lady was built following the example of the Greek temples and had the shape of a cross. Its facades were decorated in the baroque style. The priests entered the new church is very correct tradition, which has existed for several centuries. Until now, the Holy Mass every believer demonstrates the image of Our Lady of Czestochowa, in the sanctuary at Jasna Gora.

Church of the Virgin Mary was built without a tower, but it was provided for in the original draft. What prevented the organizers of the church to build next to the church tower, now it is impossible to say. The brick bell tower was added almost a hundred years later - in 1828. In 1929 the tower was decorated with a clock created in Berlin, who are still working.

After World War II once evangelical church became a Catholic, what remains to this day.

The interior of the church has kept many old items, which are now of historical and artistic interest. Among them are the main altar, made in 1749 in the style of the precentor, a stone baptismal font made in 1755 and executed in the manner of rococo carved wooden partition between the presbytery and the nave and organ beginning of XX century.
