Beyuar - the name are the island on the river Loire and the municipality in the department of Maine-et-Loire Pays de la Loire region, 13 kilometers from Angers and 75 kilometers from Nantes. Actually, the village and is located on this small island, there are constantly living about a hundred people.

Landmarks in the Loire Valley declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

The island Beyuar quite a bit of interest. One of them - the church, built in the XV century. According to the local legend, is his appearance the church is obliged to King Louis XI, who, traveling through the Loire, was in such a strong storm that he was forced to call for help the Blessed Virgin Mary. The king promised that if his salvation, he build a church in honor of Our Lady. Louis XI ashore Beyuar island, he kept his promise, and now a small church on the island tend to pilgrims from all over France and other countries.
