On the east coast of the Greek island of Thassos, about 24 km from the capital city of the same name and 42 km from the port of Skala Prinos is a small resort village Kinira, which the locals also called Lutrou. It is ideal for lovers of relaxation away from the bustle of one of the most beautiful corners of the island, surrounded by picturesque mountains with lush vegetation and numerous sources. Right in front of Kinira is stunningly beautiful island of the same name, covered with pine and olive trees with steep rocky shores.

The history of the settlement dates back to ancient times. Once there is the famous gold mines. To this day the ruins of the Byzantine baths and the remains of an early Christian basilica.

More recently Kinyra not popular among tourists visiting the island. The main occupation of the few inhabitants of the village were fishing and agriculture. Today, it is quite well-maintained resort with good infrastructure. Here you will find a fine selection of excellent hotels and apartments to suit all tastes. It is famous for the town and excellent fish restaurants and taverns where you can taste typical local dishes of the most diverse and very fresh seafood. And it will give you a good sand and pebble beach Kinyra.

Approximately 2 km from Kinyra is one of the best beaches of Thassos - Paradise with golden sand and clear azure-blue waters. The beach is quite shallow entry into the water, which is especially convenient if you stay with children.

Breathtaking scenery, beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea, the hospitality of the locals and a special cozy atmosphere each year attract Cinyras increasing number of tourists.
