The monks have not played any role in the contemporary life of the city, although the city and there are several sacred buildings, including the building of the former large monastery. But his fame as a famous tourist attraction, interesting travelers mnichovo hradiště received through the majestic castle - the family nest kind of Wallenstein, the place where the buried-known representative of the family by the name of Albrecht.

The first mention of this village near Mlada Boleslav we meet in sources dating back to 1279 year. By the time the city was already a large village, which often hosts fairs.

The castle changed hands only once - it happened after World War II, when the rich family in Communist Czechoslovakia lost their property. Now the castle was returned to the former owners, who founded it in the museum, open all year round.
