Many of Carlsbad guests up the steep path past the church of St. Mary Magdalene, at first just suggest to go to another viewing platform, but then delighted freeze before unusual structure in ampirskom style - incidentally, the only building in Carlsbad, built in this manner. This snow-white villa, built in the middle of the XIX century on the orders of Baron Alexander von Lutzow. He intended to use it as an apartment house, a family residence on the fashionable resort. Interestingly, it was one of the first villas appeared on the hills of Carlsbad. The architect of the villa was made by a local master Johann Knoll.

Around the villa the owner ordered to break gardens with terraces and a beautiful flower beds, pergolas and romantic nooks where interesting sculptures were installed, made by his fellow Augustus Kissimmee.

The greatest delight both adults and children is a column, which has a small sculpture of a cat. Associated with it is an interesting legend. It is said that after the placement in the neighboring villa gardens Caro monument of King Charles IV, who screened the Baron of the city, he became angry and, in turn, put a monument to the cat, and turned her tail to the sculpture of the king, thus expressing his dismissive attitude toward authority and to the city council, and all the residents of the resort. After a while, the cat turned.

Nowadays the villa is closed to the public, since it belongs to a private person. By the tower with a cat can be approached.
