House Museum of Federico García Lorca in the south-eastern outskirts of Granada, in the house where the poet lived in the summer with his family for many years. Federico García Lorca - the great Spanish poet, playwright, one of the most important figures of the Spanish culture of the 20th century.

Federico García Lorca was born June 5, 1898 in Fuentevakeros - a suburb of Granada, located a few kilometers from the city. At 11 years of age, being impressionable boy, Lorca and his family moved to Granada. Childhood spent in Granada, had a strong influence on the subsequent work of the poet. The huge impression on the poet made Andalusian Gypsies, the Alhambra, Granada life and traditions, which he described in many of his works.

The house where Lorca spent every summer from 1926 to 1936, where he was arrested during the Civil War, was very dear to the poet, here he wrote many of his important works. In the museum there are many pieces of furniture used by the Federico García Lorca. The bedroom has an oak table, colored paint, a poet for whom he worked. Next you will see a small white chair that the poet liked to stand on the terrace to admire the beauty of the sunset over Granada dear to his heart. On the walls in the house many portraits hanging. The museum of the poet is an exhibition dedicated to his work. Here, everything is steeped in poetry, an echo of the history stored here, there is an opportunity to touch the lives and work of the great man.
