Heritage Village "pearl divers" - open-air museum that is located in one of the oldest areas of Dubai - Al Shindagha, near the mouth of Dubai Creek. Recreating the traditional settlement of pearl divers and Bedouin nomads began here in 1997 on the initiative of the city government, and now anyone who came here can be transferred back into the past and discover architecture, traditions and art of those distant times, preceding the opening of the oil fields, when Dubai - now the capital of luxury and wealth - was only a small settlement survives mainly due to the pearl trade.

Visitors to the ethnographic village will be able to see up close how the local craftsmen - master of pottery and weaving, to visit an exhibition of pearls, a ride on a camel, to try to tame this hunting falcon and, of course, taste the traditional cakes dosa from lentil flour - they are all generously treated to Bedouin women in traditional costumes with indispensable burka concealing their faces. Complete visit to the village, you can purchase souvenirs in one of the many shops of local merchants and lunch restaurant in authentic Arabic cuisine, which is also in abundance.

The surge of activity going on here a couple of times a year during festivals, shopping and 'Eid in Dubai' when flock here many curious spectators to witness the traditional competitions in archery.
