Anatolian Fortress (Anadoluhisarı) - a small fortress, located in the Asian part of Istanbul, on the shores of the Bosphorus Strait in front Andoluhisary, Asomaty near the village, where the Byzantine prison. This fortress is the oldest structure of Turkish architecture in Istanbul. To the north of this fortress is the viaduct Fatih Sultan Memed.

Anadoluhisarı was built on the initiative of Sultan Bayezid the First during a siege of the city in 1393 and was intended for the siege of Constantinople. The fortress is located on an area of 7,000 square meters at the narrowest point of the Bosphorus (660 meters wide). Later Anatolian Fortress was strengthened by Sultan Mehmed II, who made the decision to close the Bosporus and thereby block Constantinople from the north. In 1452, by contrast Anadoluhisarı built a new fortress Rumelihisari and all shipping through the Bosphorus after that were under the absolute control of the Ottoman Empire. Himself Bosphorus was especially important for the Genoese in Galata, who were allies of the Byzantines and had colonies on the Black Sea such as Caffa, Sinop and Amasra.

Just Anatolian Fortress was used as an observation post. Around the fortress was built by three watchtowers. Because of these changes, it has not retained its original appearance. With the fall of Constantinople, the fortress became a prison.

The original castle was called "Gyuzeldzhe Hisar" and is on the very near coastal. Its dimensions are slightly smaller than the Rumeli Fortress on the opposite bank. Construction of the fortress was widely developed and strongly distanced her from the sea. Around the castle lies a large number of summer villas, which belonged to the outstanding statesman and military officials of the Ottoman Empire. In the next part of the Bosphorus, mainly located modern residential areas and fishing villages, where you can enjoy fresh fish and other marine products. By the way, the river Goksu and Kukuksu occurring nearby, westerners was referred to as the "Sweet Waters of Asia."

Every detail of this grand structure shakes his highest craftsmanship and elegance .  At the fortress, you can walk through the entrance, located not far from the roadway .  By the main entrance is a beautiful garden through which tourists and visitors can get into a spacious hall, and then into the living room, which previously took visitors .  The main staircase is majestic and truly exciting spectacle .  Not far away is a large kitchen, which is adjacent to a beautiful dining room and bar, is the best suitable for a dinner party or parties in a refined atmosphere .  The stunning view from the living room on the first floor in the waters of the Bosphorus .  All windows are framed by beautiful wooden shutters .  Surprisingly spacious bedroom is complemented by two walk-in closets (male and female) as well as a bathroom .  The right of the stairs the other two bedrooms also impresses with its size .  Apartment last floor is a studio type, which has a private bathroom, living room and kitchen .  Do not be amiss to mention the fact that all the windows of the bedrooms are also located on the Bosphorus .  Basement has been specially equipped for entertainment and recreation .  Here are the games rooms and a massive pool table .  From this room you can get into a cozy home theater .  On the right side of the stairs is a laundry room and central heating .  There is also a bathroom and a small kitchen .

The unique location in the heart of the Bosphorus and a truly royal luxury of the palace makes it a valuable find a place even for the most demanding tourists. In 1991-1993, the castle was restored and converted into a museum, closed to the public.
