In 1903 came a new governor of Saratov Stolypin and bought an unfinished house miller Reynard under provincial residence. Project completion on the corner of St. Sergius Volsky and Minor (now Michurin) Peter Abramovich entrusted Saratov known architect - A. Klimenko.
By the middle of 1904 in the building of the residence of the provincial family drove Stolypin. On the first floor are residential apartments, and the second - the reception hall, several rooms are stylishly decorated and mirrored hall for receptions. Along with the end of construction of the residence of architects and D.F.Sterligov A.N.Klimenko started the project of the neighboring building - the provincial office.
Two buildings in the neoclassical style make up a unified architectural ensemble. The provincial residence worked and lived five Saratov governor: Stolypin, SS Tatishchev, P.A.Stremouhov, A.A.Shirinsky-Shikhmatov and S.D.Tverskoy.
Soon after the October Revolution, the building took the executive committee headed by V.P.Antonovym-Saratov and rapidly growing bureaucracy, is not placed in the governor's apartment, soon moved out to another building.
In the 1930s, the building occupies a clinic for the Office of the Party workers, and the governor's residence - tubercular Institute.
Now a complex of buildings with a sign "Architectural" is an ordinary clinic (in the office) and the besieged protection organizations of the architectural heritage, the regional TB dispensaries (in the governor's residence).
