San Carlo ai Catinari, also known as Santi Biagio e Carlo ai Catinari - early-Baroque church in Rome. Located in Piazza Benedetto Cairoli at the corner of Via Arenula and Via dei Phalen. "Ah Catinari" in the name of the Church says that during its construction in the area were workshops for the manufacture of dishes.

Construction of the church was initiated by the Order Barnabites and financed the Milan community of Rome in honor of Saint Carlo Borromeo (a native of Milan). He also dedicated two other Roman church - San Carlo al Corso and San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane.

The project of the church was designed by architect Rosato Rosati between 1612 and 1620 years, and has worked on the facade by Giovanni Battista Soria. The very same construction was carried out with the 1635 to 1638 years. Inside the church is decorated with yellow artificial marble pilasters. Sail dome painted with frescoes of Domenichino, who is also author of the stucco decoration of the dome and probably the arches of the temple. In the area of ​​the choir can see the mural depicting Carlo Borromeo - this is the last work of Giovanni Lanfranco. And just behind the main altar is painted with oil paints painting by Pietro da Cortona with the image of the same saint.

To the right of the altar is an intricate Baroque chapel designed by Antonio Gherardi (late 17th century). Other church chapel decorated with works of Lanfranco, Giacinto Brandi, Andrea Sacchi, Giacinto Dzhiminyani. The church also houses a relic - the skull of St. Fevronia of the ancient city of Nusaybin, was executed for his faith in Christ.
