Yambol Historical Museum is located in the city center in one of the two-storey buildings. It was founded in 1952 as a logical continuation of the local scientific and archaeological societies formed patriotic residents.

To date, the museum store about 93,000 different items, some of which bear the colossal historical or artistic value.

The museum exposition is divided into thematic sections, which simplifies inspection and analysis. The museum has made the following division by category: Prehistory, followed by the Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Next - National Renaissance, Modern and Contemporary history of the country, and Numismatics.

On the ground floor of the museum presents archaeological grandeur of Yambol region. The exposition consists of all samples is not only material but also spiritual human culture since the Neolithic times. It also contains important finds have been made in the course of excavations Kabila - the ancient city, which belonged to the Thracians and is located near the modern town of Yambol.

On the second floor, visitors can get acquainted with the customs, rituals and beliefs inherent in local communities. Also presented are the most typical and widespread in the Yambol region handicrafts. Among the exhibits you will see the festive and ceremonial costumes, masks, clowns, as well as ordinary citizens clothing, musical instruments and much more.
