Arch of Augustus - a monument that has been preserved from the times of the Roman Empire. Arch was staged in 27 BC after the construction of the road between Rome and the Adriatic coast. The main facade of arches on which the inscription "Golden Gate", turned towards Rome. In medieval times the arch was used as a city gate in the town walls, fragments of which have survived to the present day.
